AIRE Lynx 1 Kayak Review: Overview
The AIRE Lynx I kayak features two durable PVC tubes which have three AIREcell air chambers on both sides. Thanks to the use of tough 1100D PVC, this inflatable kayak is extremely durable and the airtight internal bladders provide additional safety.
This model is very responsive and thanks to the firm rails and its streamlined continuous curved design. Paddling the Lynx 1 is very enjoyable and it’s a lot of fun in the water.
The air valves are ultra-reliable, zero-maintenance Leafield B7’s which only allow air to flow in one direction. These are first-class valves that will not leak. Also, the Lynx I’s self-bailing drain holes are very helpful when the water conditions get a bit more challenging.
Apart from being a great performer, the AIRE Lynx I is also comfortable. It comes with a chair that offers good back support, allowing you to enjoy extended periods of paddling and river running in comfort. We also really like the chair’s big built-in storage pocket and a water bottle holder — this helps to keep the kayak’s cockpit nicely organized.
In addition the built-in storage pocket, the Lynx I also features several tie-down cargo loops that are great for securing all of your gear. The max capacity on this model is 350 pounds, so bringing along additional gear is no problem.
Like all of AIRE’s inflatables, the Lynx I is built to last. The tubes are made from 1100D PVC that can withstand wear and tear caused by rocks and rapids, and the welded seams are top-notch.
The AIRE Lynx I measures 10′ x 2″ in length and 37″ wide. The tube diameter is 11″, and the kayak has a 15″ rocker.
The AIRE Lynx I inflatable solo kayak is all about versatility. It’s suitable for those who are just starting out, as well as experienced individuals who have been paddling and running rivers for many years. This is a model that can be used for both recreational flat water paddling and in more intense whitewater conditions.
We really like the included seat, reliable Leafield valves, and self-bailing floor design. The seat is also removable and can be used on shore.
The AIRE Lynx I comes with a detachable chair and AIRE’s 10-year warranty.
