When it comes to inflatable kayaks, most models are good for either whitewater paddling or flatwater touring, but not both. Moreover, these models are “wet-only” boats. They are capable of draining excess water during whitewater rafting, yet do not perform this function during flatwater expeditions. This leaves the user wet and cold for extended periods of time. Flatwater boats do not even feature drain valves and are essentially useless in rough waters.
The popular Sea Eagle Explorer kayak lineup, however, addresses and fixes all of these issues with several unique inflatable kayaks. Their Explorer Kayaks, specifically the 340x, are equipped for wet or dry conditions without any time-consuming or costly adjustments. The unique draining system does not let any water into the system, keeping cargo safe and dry. During rough seas, they drain water quickly and efficiently, provide a high level of performance and safety.
